ok, well I finally finished this.
no radiocity!!!! yay! This was made to help me study directional indoor lighting. I am pretty pleased with the results.
Rendered in 2 passes. with Ambient OCC on one and all the rest in the other.
21 pass PLD AA with Mitched (Sharp) reconstruction filter.
Adaptive sampling turned on.
Caustics on two lights at full settings.
Ambient OCC settings are 35 samples at 5cm.
Rendered at 1440 * 900 Took around 30 to 45 min for the OCC pass, and maybe 2 hours or so for the other pass. BTW, I have the "sigma" material on Andre (the mushroom in the front) at 200 samples or so and all options turned on except for the "receive caustics" one. Without caustics and the sigma material on, it goes down to around 20 min or so for the render time.

something I made on my freeday yesterday... its not done still need to texture and fix some modeling things...
took 4 hours with FG Radiocity set to 3 bounces. AA at PLD 3 pass Mitchel filter.
I got Corel Painter and am going to start doing some paintings with that... I'll post them here.
